How it all began

GreatBritishSweets.co.uk is a division of Sweet As Events Ltd, a fun food and cofectionary specialist company based in Manchester, Northwest of England. Sweet As Events Ltd was formed after trading as Pick n Mix Parties for a number of years, starting off with only a head full of idea's and just one pick and mix stand, Sweet As Events are now one of the UK's leading fun food suppliers for weddings, parties, corporate events and celebrities, they have also made a number of TV appearances, most recently featuring on ITV's This Morning with Phil and Hollie with one of their new Pucker Powder machines!

It all started one day after a trip to a catering wholesalers where the founders had been looking for ideas for their wedding, although chocolate fountains look and taste great they wanted something different, the original idea was to make a Candy Buffet, after looking at all the sweets they realised that the fun sweets from yesteryear were still available and wanted something bigger than just a few sweets on a table, the idea was born to have a full freestanding pick and mix at their wedding! From that point the product range began to grow extending to candy floss, and popcorn carts, chocolate fountains ( of all sizes ) Ice Cream carts, Candy Buffets, Pucker Powder, Sweet As Events was then formed as a company and GreatBritishSweets.co.uk was then launched.
